Use a Computer

The library has public computers with Internet access. This describes what we have and how to use them.

Krabbenhoft Public Library has two public access computers.  These computers both have Internet access along with other programs that the public may use.

All internet users must have on file a valid library card with a current address.

Minors age 11 through 17 must have a consent form on file with the Library signed by a parent or guardian for each separate child.

Children under the age of 11 may be logged into the child portion of our public access computers which has the Internet blocked.  The Internet may be used by children under 11 if the parent is physically present during the time of use.

Office Programs such as Word 2000, Publisher 2000, Excel 2000, PowerPoint 2000, Access 2000 and PhotoDraw are available for public use.

Reference Programs available on public access computers are Encarta Reference Library 2003, Encarta Researcher  and MapPoint 2002.

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
